After lunch, we went back to the Civil Affairs Office to take care of a couple other forms which made this monster officially ours. We received a gold plate a special gift from Chongqing for the adoption.
It's safe to say he's out of his shell now. WOW! He is a pistol!
When we got back to our room after dinner all hell broke loose. Up until now he was content to sit on the bed and play with his toys. He would smile all the time but never really spoke much. Now, he's all over the place and jibber-jabbering constantly. Not only will he stand if you hold him up, but he can pull himself up (with effort), jump, and take steps. Tonight, he was the total wild child we had always envisioned. We had an impromptu play date in the hall outside our room and he was everywhere, yelling, crawling, standing, jumping, etc. Even bath time was wild boy time! It was definitely a two person job, but he sure loved it. Let's see how he likes brushing his teeth in the morning. I hope there isn't any more personality to come out of there or we're in a lot of trouble.
He REALLY fought bedtime tonight. He was basically sleep-crying. He made big steps towards attaching to us today (totally prefers us to anybody else) and we think he was afraid we wouldn't be here when he wakes up.
Tomorrow we are going to the Chongqing zoo (because most of the group wants to go there). Then we are going to Wal-Mart. That should be an experience.
Love to all and thanks for all the prayers, Matt and Jenny
